Here's what I've got so far. It looks like the two "nos" aren't
actually "no" per the original question that was asked, and the others
who've contributed so far are very interested.
Jim Carlson yes
Todd Brooks yes
Bob Irving yes
Bob McAloon thinking
Bill McCann yes
Steve Gordon no (but because building ?)
Matthew Perrone no (but didn't see second proposal)
Mike Lysik interested
This looks to me like a good validation of the financing approach, the
aircraft, and the basic outline of the club.
I think the next steps (perhaps not necessarily in order) are:
- Contact Estes to find out of the plane really is still available,
and let them know we're interested. We're back a step if it's
not.
- Get in touch with a lawyer who can help out with the club
formation paperwork (making sure we get the incorporation and tax
situation right).
- Contact a bank and insurance company to start getting some quotes.
- Come up with a draft detailed message to send to the rest of the
interested people (on the main eefc interest list) that outlines
the proposal and solicits the initial club members.
Any volunteers to make some calls or do some writing? (I'm willing to
do that last one.)
